Melissa Lind
Melissa Lind is a writer/illustrator from Colorado. She has been living in Puerto Rico for the winter with four house lizards. They have never touched the sky, but they have wriggered their hands and toes before jumping into mid air for tasty insects. Did you know that lizards take a long time chewing their food?
Brett Curzon
Brett Curzon lives in Australia with his family, where he entertains them with his juggling skills, and tall tales of his days as a pirate (This is true, as his kids think I was a pirate when I was younger). He is graphic designer, daydreamer, part time cook, and sibling mediator. When not at his desk, he can be seen dragging his over weight sausage dog for a walk, or at the beach with his family.
Eli Hooper
Eli has worked in the graphics and digital arts both as a hobbyist and professional for years. Having wanted to produce a children's book for a while, the interactive book market seemed liked a great calling to pursue! "Where is my Little Square Bear" is special because it was a family project in which all of Eli's children participated. Cannon, 8, is the narrator of the story.
Gwen Christie
Gwen is the author and designer of The Champion Hare. She lives in the southeast of England and after following a career in advertising and graphic design, now works from home on her own projects. She's always been interested in nature and wildlife so it's no surprise her first children's picture book is crammed full of animals!
Nicole Comeau
Nicole Comeau and her husband Serge Patry collaborate to write for children. Children like to play, so it seemed only natural to use interactivity to interest them in reading. Nicole taught elementary school for 35 years and Serge has been an actor for the past 25 years. During these years, Nicole had the privilege to read many books to her students. She modified her voice to help identify clearly the different characters. During her teaching career, she and her husband have written plays and screenplays which were then played by many of her students. Micky's surprise represents their vision of a book combining the pleasure of reading and play.
Joyce Evans
In the year 2000, God’s Word began to captive her heart. Joyce found herself falling in love with Jesus. Having such a love for His Word, God began to reveal His divine plan—His call into ministry. She used her talent for drawing and writing to take His Word around the world to teach families to grow in Christ – like character. In 2006, Joyce published her first book, “A Granny Goodness Day.” Over the next few years, Joyce published three other titles, “Rotten, but Not Forgotten”, “Puffed-up Pride”, and “Finish Line,” as well as, four activity books, and a board game. Joyce is married to Richard Lee Evans Jr. They have three children: ReAnna, LaTica, and Jaylen. She is employed at the Sunday School Publishing Board as a Creative Associate/Graphic Designer. She designs the Sunday school curriculum for ages two through eleven. She is an active Children’s Teacher Assistant at the Mount Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Bishop Joseph W. Walker III. Joyce also serves as a member of the Visual Communications Advisory Committee at Nashville State Community College, where she teaches Graphic Processes as an adjunct instructor.
Alina Niemi
Alina Niemi is an author, illustrator, musician, teacher, adventurer, and has a love for food and animals. So this book, being a poem about a lizard ordering take - out lunch seem to be a natural fit. She is also the author of a vegan ice cream cookbook and is currently working on her soup cookbook. You can often find her in the middle of the night working on another book, designing for her store, catching slugs in the garden, or catching cockroaches to feed her ducks. They wake up when they see her, to have a snack. Find more information at her website: http://www.alinaspencil.com
Laci Morgan
Laci grew up watching Disney movies and sketching the characters, so her parents knew early on that she was destined to be an artist. (And she apologizes to her sister Kim, who she often teased about her "scribble scrabbles!") As an adult, she studies animation at Cal State Northridge and the Art Institute, and even worked at Disneyland teaching people how to draw Mickey Mouse. In 2008, she opened her freelance art business, Laci Morgan Creations, where she loves being able to work on mascots, book illustrations, and web animations.
