I have played with your bata software and for snow leopard 10.6
it runs some what slow the loading process for images takes a while for the selector to appear to be able to select an image .

Russell, I’m running Snow Leopard 10.6 and haven’t seen this behavior. Are your speed issues occurring when you try to drag and drop images? Or when you are in the New Element screen and you click the button to select an image? Are you trying to access a network or local hard drive?
